Reducing your carbon footprint

Carbon offsetting is important. However, it alone is not enough to make the necessary changes the world desperately needs.
It is a fact that we, as individuals, consume too many resources. And the world has taken its toll.
In addition to carbon offsetting with our platform, here are some basic and simple ways to reduce your carbon emissions.

Use other transportation methods other than your car as much as often. Can you walk to work, even if it takes you half an hour? Do it! It improves your health and the world’s as well. Ride a bike. At least use public transportation. If you can, of course.

Fly less. Flights are a major cause of the increase in carbon emissions to the atmosphere. Although many flights are necessary, if possible, we should reduce our annual miles as much as we can. Choose vacation destinations that you can drive to, reduce your travel flights by using video meetings.

Update your diet. Studies all over the world show that dairy products and beef cost a lot of resources. Cow farming is expensive towards earth. I don't recommend that you cut them from your diet. No good can come of the world when you reduce everything to the extreme. But you should reduce your intake of these products. And you really should support your local producers. That way, you know what you’re eating.
You also need to start eating more veggies, especially home or locally grown. Always remember: Help small and local producers. You are the reason they exist.

At home. There are a lot of ways you can take positive action indoors. Rethink your house’s energy dissipation. Performing actions like Caulk or Insulation in your house can reduce the amount of fuel you need to maintain your household temperature, therefore reducing your carbon emissions. Changing towards LED lighting, investing in Solar  Panels, recycling, and reusing equipments.

All these simple actions will result in a drop in your carbon emissions, therefore reducing your carbon footprint. Needless to say, this is something the world sorely needs.
